Cefalu is a town of Greek origin but later rebuillt by the Arabs in 900 and the Normans in 1100AD. Sitting on the Tyrehnnean coast, the town lies between a beautiful bay and a huge rock bluff. Great beach, beautiful sky and a warren of medieval streets made it my first stop in Sicily. The 12th century church is known for its unique Norman architecture with serious arabic elements. Fresh fish is aplenty. See the fresh swordfish being hacked in on of my pictures. Great Locale. 20 Km from Cefalu lies a beautiful national park ( Maddonie mountains) dotted with picturesque villages. Enjoy
