After a rainy night, I set out on a humid morning to capture pictures of my favorite bugs. Every photographer's dream is to discover something new. Today I came upon 6 new insects not photographed earlier. Last week the score was three. Upon consultation with my resident entomologist, i confirmed that insect populations vary in the same area due to weather and vegetation growth stages. My approach to macro photography outside of the subject includes the plant that the insect sits on and its posture. To achieve this end, I need to crawl, bend, lie down, stand-up,kneel and sit in awkward positions, all the while holding my breath to minimize shake and sweating like a horse. Who ever thought shooting bugs beats a day at the Gymnasium.
